Toro Y Moi first came on my radar when he remixed Tyler, The Creators French, which was promptly played on The Rinse, which may be a reason they stopped returning my emails…but thats another story.

Toro Y Moi already released a full length Underneath The Pine in February that was well received, but has decided that one major release a year isn’t enough. The first track off his September Ep Freaking Out dropped this morning and we have it for you.

It has been a wild ride for The Rinse since its inception back in October of 2009. Feeva and I came together with a love of electronic music and decided to put together a radio show on Windsor/Detroit’s best radio station- CJAM FM. We ended up winning a Jammy award for ‘Best New Show’ and since then we have done our best to bring you quality programming every Monday night. This year we have continued to provide you with the hottest releases covering all genres of electronic music as well as bring in countless interviews and mini mixes from the likes of Jelo, Sound Remedy, Joman, MosDam, eMDeeMA, Hirshee, Lazy Rich, FTampa & Porter Robinson. As the month of April winds down we are sad to say that we will both be moving on with our lives and will be saying goodbye to our beloved CJAM. Tonight we have prepared a monster show compiling our favourite tracks of the past 2 years. It has been a slow weekend for quality music but we are going to start the week off on a good note with a big time guest on tonight’s episode of The Rinse. For those of you who don’t know I host a weekly radio show on CJAM 99.1fm in Windsor & Detroit with fellow music lover/dj/producer- Feeva. Tonight we are happy to bring you an exclusive 30 minute mix and live interview from electronic music genius- Dezza. Exam season has us a little behind but we have an awesome mix of tunes for you this week. We also have the Not So Friendly Christmas Webisode this friday, so be excited for that. As well we should be having some more Top 10 lists from both myself and The Conductor.

Conditions Remixed

Last year’s Conditions is an amazing album. I love every song on the album and it is easily my favourite record last year, but if your an avid Ambassador Beats reader you already knew that. I post remixes from this album as often as I can.

Well yesterday Conditions Remixed was released. The name basically says it all, but it is an album comprised completely of brand new remixes by some of the biggest DJ’s and Producers in the game. Rusko, Alan Wilkins, Adam Freeland, just to name a few make appearances on this record.

What is awesome about this album is that rather than focusing on two or three songs and offering several different remixes of the same song, each song from Conditions received the remix treatment in its own special way. It is like experiencing the album for the first time all over again.

Last night The Conductor and I played the Alan Wilkins remix to Sweet Disposition on The Rinse and I’ll probably throw another one of the songs from this album on the Weekly Webisode, so check back for that. But until then you can listen to the entire album below. Enjoy.

Conditions by The Temper Trap is one of my favourite albums of the last year, but if your a regular visitor to Ambassador Beats you already knew that.
