There is a petition circulating in the hope of developing two new genres on beatport.com. ‘Big Room’ and ‘Commercial Dance’ are the proposed sub-genres that will hopefully clear some of the misty cross-over progressive house music that saturates the market.
‘One Life’ would probably fall into both of these new categories. An all encompassing mix of feel good vocals, hands in the air synths and a summery melody make this one a BIG tune!

We had our greasy hands all over this bootleg a few months back but it wasn’t until yesterday that the very generous Hazem Beltagui unleashed his version of Zedd’s radio killer- ‘Spectrum’ for FREE Download.
His mix brings a very mellowed out progressive vibe to a familiar track that needed a new twist.

Adrian Lux released his self titled LP on April 3rd through Ultra Records and we got so caught up in ‘Fire’ that we completely missed the most stunning cut off the album.
‘Burning’ is nothing short of a masterpiece. The summery beats warm the soul and when the vocals kicks in it’s tough to hold back that “this is a BIG TUNE!!!!’ smile.

Not going to lie, when I saw this, I thought Blue Jays Right Fielder Jose Bautista was making beats. But my mistake, this came from @DJJoeybeatz not @Joeybats19.
Regardless, Joey Beats just dropped a brand new bootleg which features Tristan Gartner and Coldplay. I wasn’t sure how Coldplay would work with a Progressive House beat, but it actually turned out great.

It is not easy to get me to listen to a progressive house tune. There really has to be something there that impresses me, and Disfunktion has hit the nail on the head with this one.
As unfortunate as it is, I know absolutely nothing about this genre and cannot break this song down other than the synth line is something that would have be going CRAZY at the club, if I knew the location of any club within 500 miles.
Check out the Goodbye Miami preview from the upcoming Appetite for Disfunktion album from Disfunktion. The 15 track album is set to be released on PinkStar records in the very near future so keep your eyes out for that. Until then throw this on your holiday weekend playlist.

To add to the list of teenagers who are absolutely killing it right now (think Porter Robinson, age 19, and Madeon, age 18) Jakob Liedholm (aka Jakob Lido) is a Swede producer who is only 15 (wtf!) and is starting to build an impressive setlist. The original City of Dreams is going to be a massive track once an official version is released but for now Jakob has added an even bigger drop and mixed it with the lyrics from Eva Simmons – I Don’t Like you. This is a great way to start off the weekend, Enjoy.

It’s a known fact that every track Adventure Club puts out is/will be exceptional.
These guys have one of the cleanest track records of any up & comers out there and absolutely nothing is about to change. Their latest offering (FREE D/L of course) dropped today and it carries on the same glitchy/melodic/euphoric dubstep feel that we have come to know.
And on a completely unrelated but related note: female dj/producer Dinka released a remix of James Vincent McMorrow- We Don’t Eat today that reminded me how good Adventure Club’s remix from a year ago is.

Ferry Corsten’s WKND brought us the standout track ‘Live Forever’ among a plethora of big room trance/house bangers.
Today the official video was release (watch here) alongside a stellar remix pack featuring Michael Woods & Shogun. The video is your typical dj/crowd footage mixed in with babes and vocalist-Aruna. But the remixes, released on Ultra Records take ‘Live Forever’ on a completely new journey.
Our favourite from Woods amps things up with his signature progressive touch, stabbing synths and dirty drops while keeping the integrity intact and the beautiful vocals enhanced.
