Maison & Dragen have been a tear with their Martin Solveig remix (see below) and things don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

The Dirty Tees have unofficially released the FIRST single off their forthcoming EP and in one word… WOW!
They completely blindsided me with the club banger calibre vocals/baseline/drops and midway electro change-up. These guys continue to impress and if this is a sign of things to come, we are all in for a big tasty Canadian made treat.

With all the ‘Video Games’ remixes floating around it would be foolish to ignore the exceptional drum n bass cut from Jakwob & Etherwood.

We robbed you of the Macadelic album so it was a necessity to shed some light on the new Mac Miller remix of one of Chase & Status’s biggest anthems.
Miller jumps on ‘Flashing Lights’ and puts fourth a mediocre effort but lets the instrumentals shine through his simplistic verses. It’s really the combination of dubstep and hip hop that make this worth listening to and if I’m being honest, Mac could have been replaced with Lil Romeo and I still would have been intrigued.

Every week the Ambassador Beats inbox gets filled up with music submissions and every week there seems to be proportionately more mashups than any other genre.
The appeal has been on a steady incline since pioneers like Girl Talk and The Hood Internet kick started one of electronic music’s greatest sub-genres. Call it art, piracy or a guilty pleasure- either way it’s in our face and i’m not arguing.

Over the past year Tom Fall has gone from being one of the best kept secrets to one of the most sought after artists in a sea of rising stars.
His set in ASOT 550 was massive and since then the ID tracks and remixes have been pouring out. He continues to push the genre blending boundaries with this stunning remix of Cosmic Gate’s latest release on Black Hole Recordings titled ‘Flying Blind’ featuring Jes.
Driving basslines, orgasmic buildups and goose-bump inducing vocals make this a serious contender for remix of the year in my books.

When Morgan Page released ‘The Longest Road’ back in 2008, nobody could have predicted the amount of miles the track would get.
Four years later, it has gone through countless hands including the grammy nominated remix from Deadmau5 and hip hop mogul Birdman.
Thankfully Mobin Master takes it to yet ANOTHER level with Joe Garston’s ‘The Promise’ mashed in with the infectious vocals from Lissie.

I’ve had a close eye on the mashup world since the inception of Ambassador Beats and not many days have gone by without something new to listen to.
Many of them have come and gone but KapSlap, 3LAU and D.Veloped have d.veloped into household names among a sea of competition. Their consistency ranges up there with the likes of GirlTalk and Earworm and the innovation that continues to fuel these guys is damn impressive.

I’m lost without words after listening to ‘Victor’. The hybrid 7 track dubstep/hip hop masterpiece which dropped on Mad Decent today from dub hoppers- Zeds Dead & Omar Linx.
It could literally be the best 30 minutes i’ve experienced in decades.

The surge of EDM and most notably Dubstep in North America has led to an influx of people trying to get in on the action.
From bloggers to clothing companies to sports teams, practically everyone is trying to get a piece of the pie. For the real dubstep fans this can only lead to more exposure and increased air time of their favourite type of music. For the rest, the popularity has lead to frustration and resentment of the ‘creators’ of dubstep and those that support it.
As a supporter and promoter of the beloved bass music, it means that finding quality dubstep is more readily available right at our fingertips due to sites like dubstep.net , dubstepkollection and Capital Music etc. It also means more time spent scouring through the loads of junky stuff and picking out the unknown hits that no one has ever heard of.
And today’s pick is just that. A relatively unknown gem released in January on Tuff Love Dubs.

One of my favourite cities in the world (Melbourne, Australia) has been breading quality artists for some time now.
The Temper Trap, Cut Copy & Miami Horror (to name a few) all found their stride in Victoria’s capital and adding to the growing list of local talent is Cosmo Black.
His latest release- ‘Blind’ is the newest single off his upcoming album titled ‘Break Before You Bend’ which is set to drop at the end of April. The single has an electro-pop feel with a touch of disco and a splash of summer vibes.

DJ M-Rock has done a great service to the music world with yet another ‘Best Of’ mix.
We had high expectations after his Best of Kanye West & A Tribe Called Quest tapes and the Toronto native did NOT disappoint.
This time ’round he mixes 86 Biggie tracks to create the perfect soundtrack for a 15 year anniversary of one of rap’s greatest. Here’s what M-Rock had to say about the mix-
Who’s 17 years old and freestyling with perfection on street corners in the daylight and getting a crowd? Nobody. I love artists who master their craft. How can you not? Armin Van Buuren has been destroying club after club with his entourage of A list dj’s to celebrate his 550th episode of ‘A State Of Trance’.
The tour started in London and has since made stops in Moscow and Kiev, Ukraine. Among the artists to perform on the opening night was Ambassador Beats favourite- Tom Fall. With a recent assault of new originals and remixes, Mr. Fall had a full arsenal of big stuff to play out.
One of tracks that stood out the most from his set was this melodic but yet aggressive mashup from Myon & Shane 54 which combines his remix of Blake Jarrell- ‘Dubai’ with Jessie J’s- ‘Domino’. The soothing vocals from Jessie J alongside Blake Jarrell’s tantalizing buildup are followed by a barrage of King Kong sized slaps to the face courtesy of Tom Fall.

Moonbeam teamed up with Leusin to bring yet another hit sure to boost the serotonin in all of us.

With WMC/Ultra approaching there has been a major music drought over the past few weeks.
Luckily for us the popularity of EDM and surge of new producers always leaves us with new and underappreciated artists that have never crossed our sights.
Cramp who hails from Russia was a complete unknown to us until stumbling on his Soundcloud page via Anjunabeats. His productions have been highly acclaimed and have received praise from the likes of Above & Beyond, Tiesto, Paul Van Dyke, Armin Van Buuren and many more.
Among his portfolio of original’s was this bootleg of Super8&Tab’s ‘Empire’ with his own ‘Deadline’. A true progressive trance tune that really sets the mood for a good time.
