6 Nov

Pixel Cheese is really starting to grow on me. The more I hear the more I like. But today I was extremely disappointed.

Pixel Cheese released a new demo of a new bootleg, and it was only 2 minutes. But my disappointment can be cured if you and all your friends go Like Pixel Cheeses Facebook page.

Once Pixel hits 3500 likes we will get the full version of the Till Sunshine Bootleg, so go do it NOW.

Acoustic Performance of What You Know – Two Door Cinema Club

4 Nov

The Conductor is a great guy, he went to Lollapalooza this year and brought me back a Two Door Cinema Club shirt. Unfortunately he forgot to give it to me before he moved to the Yukon. For those of you who aren’t up to speed on Canadian geography, its comparable to moving from California to New York is the dead of winter. Regardless something good came out of Lollapalooza, and its this video which is an acoustic rendition of What You Know by Two Door Cinema Club.

Chris Carrabba – Covered In The Flood Free Download

3 Nov

At one point or another in your life, you’ve listened to Dashboard Confessional. There is no need to lie, or explain yourself. Chris Carrabba writes and performs heartfelt soul wrenching songs that strike you to the core when you hear them.

Well today Chris Carrabba released a four song free EP that features him performing acoustic covers of other peoples songs. Just because he didn’t write them doesn’t make them any less sensational. Plus when its free how can you really go wrong? This EP will fit perfectly in your iTunes collection (between Alter The Ending and Dusk and Summer if you change the artist to Dashboard Confessional).

Secrets of the Trade – Bunnyhop Remix

3 Nov

Just before Halloween Bunnyhop dropped a mini mix that provided the soundtrack for countless halloween parties. Well now that we are a full three days into the terrible month that is November Bunnyhop has something new for us.

Bunnyhop has done a live remix of Niia’s track Secrets of the Trade. It’s a chilled out tune that benefits from a slight electro tweak. The vocals are outstanding and this track is just what I needed to hear after a long day at the office, (ya I work at an office now).

So stream and download this track below and watch out for more from Bunnyhop, I am expecting great things. Enjoy.

Steve Aoki feat. Rivers Cuomo – Earthquakey People (Dillon Francis Remix)

2 Nov

Once again I’m blown away by music coming out of the Dim Mak camp, one of these days it will click in that I should just always expect amazing things.

Dillon Francis gives Earthquakey People the remix treatment and flips the track into a blippy masterpiece. This track originally is done by Steve Aoki and features Rivers Cuomo, although if you blink you might miss the Weezer front man.

The track won’t be available to buy until November 22nd, but in three weeks you’ll be able to pick this track up from Ultra Records. Stream the song below.

Buzzin – OVERWERK

2 Nov

I guess hanging out with The Conductor has taught me something, or at least taught me to remember the names of great Canadian electro artists.

The Conductor used to rave (speak highly of, not dance like he was on some strange substance) about Overwerk and I never really looked into him. But now with The Conductor driving across the country with one of the worst tweeters of all time, (@TeeeOh) its up to me to post the latest and greatest in electronic music.

Well today OVERWERK announced that he will be releasing a brand new EP at the end of November. The Nth Degree will be available as a free download on November 30th, but if you can’t wait that long we’ve got a new single to tide you over.

Buzzin is a great tune with solid builds that will have you head bobbin all night. Stream below and download while you still can.

DOSVEC – Feeling Good Mashup

2 Nov

On Sunday The Conductor brought you a bunch of Mashups that rocked your weekend. One of those mashups was one done by DOSVEC.

I’m going to throw it out there and say that DOSVEC is my favourite mashup maker right now. It’s hard to not get excited when a new DOSVEC mix comes across the news feed. Well he has done it again with the Feeling Good mashup.

This one features a ton of a capellas over a Flo Rida instrumental, but my favourite transition comes at the 2:50 point when DOSVEC breaks things down into Ellie Gouldings The Lights. Check out the stream below and download this one while you still can.

Uppermost Remixes Dada Life’s Happy Violence

28 Oct

Happy Violence by Dada Life is a great track, but Uppermost just took it to another level.

This Uppermost remix is dropping on Monday but we’ve got a short preview of the track for you. The vocal hook got my attention then the beat break down blew me away.

Enjoy this 1:23 of new music and hopefully we can share the full track with you Monday.

In A Fragment of Time – Brand New Single from The Finger

20 Oct

Back when Google+ still had the peoples interest it brought me to discover The Finger. I even did a post on their track Die Die Superhero.

Well fast forward a few months and The Finger have just released their first single In A Fragment of Time. I really like this track and I’m sure Illa Scorsese probably feels the same way.

You can check out In A Fragment below and check back for more album details as they become available.

New Coldplay Paradise Video

19 Oct

Ok this video is just awesome. Not at all what I expected going into watching this. Usually you expect serious and epic videos, not a guy dressed up in an elephant costume. The track is also amazing so enjoy.

Download A Free Escape The Fate Cragga Remix

19 Oct

In my younger darker years when my entire wardrobe consisted of black hoodies and band shirts, I regularly listened to Escape The Fate. I kind of grew out of those band shirts along with Escape The Fate but I still enjoy listening to their back catalogue when the mood is right.

Today I came across a Cragga Remix of Gorgeous Nightmare which is a track off their new self titled album. The remix is amazing but is more electro then screamo for my liking, but I guess thats why it is a remix.

The band is offering this track as a free download so you can check it out below and Click Here to head to their website to surrender your date of birth and email address for the download link. It’s well worth it.

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Mac Miller – I Love Life, Thank You Mixtape Download

19 Oct

Ok so I’m a few days late on this but better late than never right? I picked up the I Love Life, Thank You mixtape a couple days ago when it dropped and forgot to add it to iTunes until today. On the first listen I came across his Love Lost track which Mac lays a verse over a Temper Trap sample.

If you’re a long time Ambassador Beats reader you’ll remember how I used to post any and ever remix that featured The Temper Trap. I love their Conditions album and still listen to it regularly, so when I came across Mac Millers version I have high expectations.

Thankfully Mac does the track justice and has now successfully pumped me up even more for Blue Slide Park.

Check out Love Lost below along with the mixtape.

Someone Like You – PS1 Bootleg Mix

19 Oct

Usually The Conductor and I try to avoid posting the same song twice in a row, but I had a great idea. Let’s have a Battle of the Bootlegs! Now what I’m going to ask you to do is to listen to this PS1 Bootleg of Someone Like You and then go and listen to the Mikael Weermets Remix below and Tweet us @Ambassadorbeats to tell us which one you like better.

Since I rarely if ever listen to the radio I had not heard this song until The Conductor posted it yesterday. Then this morning we received this remix so I guess we might as well strike while the iron is hot and post both.

So check out both tunes and let us know which one you like better. I know which one I like…

New Music Video – Still – Bombay Bicycle Club

18 Oct

Bombay Bicycle Club released a new video today from their latest album A Different Kind of Fix. Still is a straight forward performance video that leaves the entire emphasis on the song, and with this song thats how it should be. It’s haunting and beautiful all at the same time. I’m glad they didn’t try to glam up the video with a ridiculous story line and decided instead to allow the music to speak for itself.
