With a plethora of original tracks, bootlegs and remixes as well as being the label head of Whartone Records and holding a residency at one of Sheffield’s hottest new clubs, its safe to say Sonny Wharton has fully immersed himself into the ever competitive EDM world
We were first introduced to Sonny when he released a soothing progressive house bootleg of The Temper Trap- Sweet Disposition (see below) and our love has again been rekindled with his remix for InnerPartySystem.
To top off several new releases he has dropped a FREE SUMMER BOOTLEG pack for all his fans which includes the ‘Sweet Disposition’ bootleg as well as 4 other gems. If you weren’t already a Sonny Wharton follower there is no better time than now…
Foster The People were one of those bands that just sort of blew up and I never really got into them. I don’t really like Pumped Up Kicks and can’t really understand why everyone is going nuts over it.
Reguardless I think that Foster The People will be one of those bands I only ever listen to when they are given the remix treatment.
It kind of puts a different perspective on the music because I don’t listen to the original song so I never know exactly how it is “supposed” to sound so the remix can either make or break the track for me.
In this case I think Bill Sheppard a.k.a. Push Music really knocked this song out of the park. I like the synth piano lines a whole lot and would agree with the Indie Dance genre that has been attached to this song. Stream it below and download it while you can.

David Puentez is synonymous with big time mashups and big room productions. He consistently impresses us with free bootlegs and his original productions are steadily climbing the ranks while his reputation as one of the freshest acts in EDM continues to build.
His newest mashup is a no brainer… Alesso & Ingrosso- Calling vs. Tim Berg= masterpiece
I’m starting to get really upset that DJ Stroke decided not to release an entire album because the songs he is releasing are fucking amazing.
A couple days ago he released his latest mashup Fuck You, Pay Me which mixes Rusko, Eminem, Kanye West, Bassnectar and Fabolous. Sorry about the delay but I just moved and where I am now has really spotty internet. So I am trying to get this to you while I still am connected. Enjoy.
It’s so funny how things happen. I was just saying to myself “Kyle,” Ya, I call myself Kyle in my head, “Why do you not have all the Sloan albums in your iTunes collection?” Three days later I get an email from NoiseTrade announcing that in anticipation for their 10th album and 20th anniversary Sloan was releasing a free 14 song singles collection.
Select Singles offers the best singles that Sloan have released over the past 20 years and will fit perfectly into the vacant place in my iTunes.
You should head to the NoiseTrade Website right now and pick up this album right now. It will blow your mind what 4 Canadian rockers can produce. If you are not familiar with Sloan check out my two favourite tracks below. And if you got the Boy Meets World reference in the first paragraph, you win.
The summer has come and gone and it seems like yesterday that we released our ‘Summer Mix‘ filled with 11 essential tunes to accompany you along your favourite season of the year.
In anticipation of the post summer blues, I have put together a fresh new mix that features 11 tracks that got me through the past 4 months. House music in its finest form from some of the biggest producers and some relative unknowns. This mix is guaranteed to bring you feelings of euphoria and nostalgia all at once.
Download it below and don’t be shy in the comments section- we want to hear about your favourite tunes of the summer!

As the world waits in anticipation for the 4th edition of Tha Carter many of us have cheated our way into hearing the album in its entirety. Tha Carter IV leaked a week before its release and it makes me think that Jay-Z and Kanye are onto something with their secret service calibre anti leaking tactics.
Ambassador Beats does not support album leaks but in order to get you fired up for tomorrow’s release we decided to share with you one of the standout tracks off the album. President Carter is a tribute to Weezy’s favourite president- Jimmy Carter and the song samples the swearing in of the 39th president of the United States. A smokey intro, catchy hook and signature Lil Wayne lyricism make this one a winner for me.
I made it clear that I was done with any more ‘Save The World’ remixes but this new mashup from Basile Radelfinger forced me to break some rules.
What I like most about this mashup is the way the overplayed vocals are given a whole new life with the seamless combination of house and trance music. The euphoric buildup takes the drop to a whole new level and makes me wonder why no one has given the SHM hit a trancey makeover. Either way Basile did something right with this track and it needs to be heard by the masses.

First and foremost, Ambassador Beats is not folding, so get that thought out of your mind. We continue to grow and share impeccable musical content daily. But today is really the end of an era.
If you’ve followed our site for a while you’ll know that The Conductor and I started Ambassador Beats from our apartment building with a view much like the picture shows of the Ambassador Bridge. We both had found our way to Windsor in search of higher education at the University of Windsor. The Conductor graduated from his Masters program in April and departed to cottage country before entering the real world. Over the past four months I have been holding down the dub but today is my last day in Windsor. I wrote the last exam of my BA Sociology degree last Saturday and start a brand new job in The Suck on Monday.
So although we have departed from Windsor, it will always hold a special place in our hearts, and the whole point of being an Ambassador is being able to go anywhere and implant yourself in their society and represent. I assure you that no matter where The Conductor and I end up, we will represent Ambassador Beats and continue to bring you the best in music.
Fuck, 800,000 followers on twitter would be nice. I could totally spread some Codhoppers knowledge if I had that many followers. Unfortunately I am not Mac Miller and don’t have 800,000 followers like he does.
In celebration of his 800K followers Mac released another new track off Blue Slide Park. The album is right around the corner and this song promises some more great tracks exist on the record.
Check out Cold Feet from Mac Miller below and download it for free.
This Time Next Year recently signed to Equal Vision records adding to their already outstanding roster. They are currently preparing for their sophomore full length album, Drop Out Of Life, which is set to drop September 27th.
They just released a song stream for their brand new track Matchbook as well as pre-order options for the album. Check out more music from This Time Next Year at their Facebook page and if your so inclined you can click here to pre-order Drop Out Of Life.
It’s a well known fact that Blink 182 are my favourite band and I would do just about anything to hear new music from them. Well they released a new music video last night at midnight PST which is something crazy like 4 am here. In years past I may have just woken up at 4 am to listen to it the moment it was released. But I did not, I watched it at 6:30 this morning when I did wake up and now I care to share it with you.
I love the song, but am kinda confused with the video. It seems like a mix of the Stay Together For The Kids video that had to be reshot after 9/11 and the album cover of Say Anything’s In Defence Of Genre. I think it’s funny that they show a fence spray painted with the message No More Parents when all three band members and the majority of their oldest fans are all parents now. Regardless I can’t wait for this album to be released, like can’t wait…
Well we have a treat for you today, two new DJ Stroke Mashups. The reason there are two is because I’ve been crazy busy this past week and a half and completely missed their releases.
If you don’t remember, DJ Stroke was set to release a full dubstep mashup mixtape but he also got busy and decided to just drop tracks one at a time. If you like what you hear you should keep your ears open because DJ Stroke is headed out on a college tour this fall.
If you go to college in the upper US and would like to see DJ Stroke do his thing, shoot him an email at DJStrokeBooking@gmail.com and get something set up, until then enjoy the two new songs.

By now everyone has heard the song bird of our generation (Skylar Grey) and her angel voice whether it be accompanying Eminem and Dr. Dre or remixed by your favourite producer. I had the pleasure of seeing her live at Lollapalooza this year and I can definitely confirm that she is one of the most talented singers to break out since the 2010 onslaught of Adele.
She recently released the breakout track ‘Invisible’ for FREE on Itunes and now the remix pack has followed.
Kaskade’s is so-so, Dirty South killed it, but John Dahlback made this song his bitch. See for yourself…
Hawthorne Heights released their brand new Hate EP today. It is available in all digital record stores and physical copies can be picked up from their shows and from their online store.
Last week we brought you the EP trailer and now we are pleased to be streaming two songs off the EP below.
Hate is the first screamo sounding release I have heard in years and it brings me back to the times when Emery and Senses Fail dominated my CD player. This EP definitely has an emo feeling to it, but I love it. Hawthorne Heights have gone through a tremendous amount of struggles over the past decade and deserve to Hate some things.
It is almost hard to believe that Fueled By Ramen has been around for 15 years now. They have produced some of the biggest bands of the emo/pop punk genre and this compilation features both new and old songs that showcase some of their best artists.
I still remember my introduction to the Fueled By Ramen family when I bought Take This To Your Grave by Fall Out Boy back in 2003 from Sunrise Records in St. Thomas. It was a different time then when people still bought CD’s, but that CD introduced me to a lot of other great bands.
The 15th Anniversary Compilation is for sale from all digital record stores and is released in anticipation of the 15th Birthday celebration that’s taking place September 7th to 9th at the New York City Terminal 5.

Remember during last week’s post blurry when we brought you the Tiesto Work Hard Play Hard remix contest? Well due to the overwhelming number of submissions, the date to get your tracks in has been pushed back to August 28th just to give everyone a little more time. We were lucky enough to get our hands on one of the submissions.
The guys over at Electronica Oasis sent this Hyperbits remix over tonight and it blew my mind. It’s got a progressive house feel to it, so I’m sure The Conductor will be just as impressed as I am.
Hyperbits is actually Robert Palliser and Serik Slobodskoy who have come together to create this remix specifically for the Remix Contest.
Check it out below and when the voting opens be sure to keep this one in mind.
Work Hard, Play Hard feat. Kay – Tiesto (Hyperbits Remix)
We’ve got something very special for you today. DOSVEC has really taken this mashup album to the next level. I was originally amazed when I was listening to the sound cloud link of this album, and then I checked out the video clip and was literally rendered speechless. I can definitely see why this took 6 months to put together.
DOSVEC has taken mainstream radio hits and mashed them together which in itself sounds awesome, but by adding heavy dubstep beats on top of that it takes the album to a whole new level. There are 18 of the hottest songs of the last year featured on this album and each one is mashed together perfectly.
But on top of the astounding mashups, DOSVEC has one gone step further to include a mashup video which takes the music videos for all of these songs and adds the perfect visual element to accompany the audio. DOSVEC’s goal was to stimulate both the ears and the eyes of the viewer, and I can easily say he has done that.
Check out the video below and hit the jump for the track listing and download link.
