We brought you the HQ rip when this first dropped on his Ustream and now we bring you the 320 kbps album version. This is the standout track from Deadmau5′s upcoming album 4×4=12 and shows how the Mau5 is incorporating new genres of electronic music into his productions. Pre-order the album here or grab it when it hits stores on Dec. 7th.
I first heard The Streets many years ago when I went through my own personal British Invasion. Trying to snap up everything and anything I could on the British music scene.
Fast forward almost five years and The Streets is still releasing new material, although this may be the last album we can expect from him. Computers and Blues is expected to be released on Febuary 7th and is said to be the last record Mike Skinner will put out, at least under the name The Streets.
I’ve got two videos for you today. One is his new song Too Numb off his newest album, and the song that made me a fan, Dry Your Eyes Mate. Enjoy.
Since Fall Out Boy kind of… fell a part last year each member has been off doing there own thing. Well Pete Wentz Simpson has been busy recording with a so called experimental electronic band. One of there songs was recently thrown into a mashup featuing Drake, Lil Wayne and Chiddy Band. Definately worth a listen. Check it out below.
The video cannot be shown at the moment. Please try again later.
Got a live studio session video from indie rockers Good Old War. The combination of layered vocals and acoustic vibe sold me on this video. They perform Coney Island from there 2008 release Only Way To Be Alone here. Not much else to say, check this out you will love this band.
Henry Steinway, aka Clockwork has been infiltrating the intra web with dirty electro beats and heavy hitting remixes for the past year. He came onto my radar when he dropped a mashup of Lil’ Wayne vs. The Office theme song (see below) and since then I have been continually impressed with the diversity in his music as you will see from the following tracks. Check out his newest remix which will be released on Guys & Dolls Records, December 6th… this one is MASSIVE!! Get connected with Clockwork on:
Not too long ago Bring Me The Horizon released their third full length LP and it blew me away. Totally surprised me with the growth they had made since their last record and every song on the album is amazing.
I have posted a song or two off their latest release There Is A Hell Believe Me I’ve Seen It, There Is A Heaven Lets Keep It A Secret, but this song was one of my favourite.
Don’t Go features Canadian pop star Lights. She has been making the rounds lately after just finishing up her cross country tour with Michou. She is also in talks with Deadmau5 to do a collaboration some time in the new year. Expect big things from her in a number of genres in the not too distant future.
Check out the video as well as the CDQ song below.
Today is the busiest shopping day of the year. But if your not into large crowds, long lines or spending money, than the Holy Mess have something special for you.
The Holy Mess are offering all of there albums for free download today only on their bandcamp page. The Holy Mess are a punk rock band from Philly and are definitely worth a listen, especially when you can get the music for free.
You can check out Benefit Sesh (2010), Dismount (2009) and A Briefcase Full of Bruise (2008) below and click on the links to download all three. Enjoy.
Sitting in class, bored as fuck, so obviously i’m scouring the web for tunes. Then out of the blue Kaskade drops another (free) track on his soundcloud. I am curious to see how a Frank Sinatra remix is going to sound but I have no doubt that Kaskade has once again given it the golden touch. If you missed monday’s freebie check it here. This is what the man had to say about this one.
I love Christmas music, so I had a lot of fun doing this remix. I did it in 2004 but in the end the label that hired me could not get the rights to use it. Drop it in to your holiday shuffle.
Happy Thanksgiving to all our American readers. Welcome to week number 6 and we really feel like we are coming into our own. The Conductor and I have a great line up of tunes for you this week, almost all of them are brand new and haven’t been featured on the site yet. We have two songs from artists that were picked up off of the Ambassador Beats Twitter, some mashups and some chill shit to get your weekend started. There is also a public service announcement to a couple of guys from back home. Enjoy this weeks webisode and click on Read More to check the track list.
Electro Rock act Blaqk Audio is back with a brand new song. Made up of Davey Havok and Jade Puget of AFI, Blaqk Audio is prepping for the release of their new album Bright Black Heaven which is slated for a 2011 release.
Down Here seems to be the first single off their new album and appeared on soundcloud yesterday. If you like this song then go out and pick up their debut release CexCells which I really enjoyed.
A couple of days ago, I got a message on twitter from Illa Scorsese. He sent me a track and I was instantly impressed. Originally from North Philly Illa has appeared on stage with the likes of Jim Jones, Young Jeeze and Lil Wayne. Thats quite the accomplishment if you ask me.
Knockin Out The Bottom is a track off his upcoming independently released album Illavation. Look out for that in the spring of 2011. I’m sure we’ll be doing more with Illa in the new year.
Illa prides himself on his legal hustle habits and introducing everyday situations in his raps. I really enjoy this song and listen for it on this week’s Webisode. Check out Knockin Out The Bottom below.
Illa – Knockin’ Out The Bottom (ft. Shawn Chappelle & Chief [of Dedikated Boyz])
Two new Wiz Khalifa ‘joints’ dropped today courtesy of youraudiofix.com and hypetrak.com. ‘Real Estate’ hits heavier with flawless production and ‘Star of the Show’ has a laid back flow perfect for the chilling that will no doubt be taking place throughout the thanksgiving weekend (for you Americans out there… lucky bastards). Enjoy these and check back tomorrow for this week’s top 10 tracks on the Ambassador Beats Weekly Webisode.
New bootleg from one of the newest sensations out of Sweden. Darwin & Backwall are new to us at AmbassadorBeats and if you missed the introduction than get yourself acquainted. Mashing in Swedish House Mafia’s ‘Leave The World Behind’ with Style of Eye’s remix to ‘Tone Program’ leads to a progressive banger. Be patient with this one, drop hits around the 4:30 minute mark.
Unless you have been living under a rock, you should know that the new Kanye West album dropped this week. Let me just apologize for now throwing a bunch of posts up, but its been a crazy week with school and I have only listened to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy this week. Honestly since I got my copy on monday I have been listening to it non-stop. Easily the album of the year. And I’m not the only one who thinks that.
Pitchfork gave the album a perfect rating, Rolling Stone magazine gave it 5 stars, Best Coast called out the haters and told the world how amazing the album is. Even Soupy from The Wonder Years commented on how good the album was on twitter.
Love him or hate him, Kanye knows how to make a scene and how to make an album. There is not a bad tune on the album, and a lot of the G.O.O.D. Friday tracks that made the album have added verses or production on them.
I am going to play a song off this album on this weeks webisode, but until then check out the album version of Devil In A New Dress which features a verse from Rick Ross. Check that out below.
After being in semi-retirement for 7 years, ’90s emo ambassadors are back. The Get Up Kids are prepping for a new album release in early 2011. There Are Rules will be the first release in 7 years and I am extremely excited for it. Their big album from 1999, Something To Write Home About, is one of the best emo albums before the genre was diluted with shitty bands.
Regent Court is a short but sweet song that will remind you of your teenage years. The Get Up Kids still command a huge audience and following even though they were never mainstream rock stars. They sold out arenas in their day and if their reunion shows are any indication, they will have no problem filling the seats.
Check out Regent Court below and listen for this song on this weeks Webisode.
New video from Kaskade highlighting his back to back shows in Hollywood. Kaskade is becoming one of the most respected dj/producers in the industry. He has reached rock star status and he still releases free music every monday on his soundcloud. Check this week’s deep house mix that he made back in 2003 and also the Sultan & Ned Shepard Electro remix to ‘Fire In Your New Shoes’. Biiiig Tunes!
Paul David was kind enough to send over an EXCLUSIVE mix for us to feature on this week’s episode of The Rinse on CJAM 99.1 fm in Windsor/Detroit. This 18 minute mix features some heavy dutch and electro house and is the perfect party starter. Check out Paul and his crew over at Burner Records and stay posted for the newest collab from Paul David & Barletta titled ‘The Take Over’. If you are in the Toronto area, check out Burner Thursdays @ Andy’s Pool hall (featuring O-God).
